Voice Placement
Each member of the GCC meets with the Director for a Voice Placement appointment. This gives both the singer and Director a chance to get to know each other and allows the Director to hear each voice independently.
During each 15 minute appointment the singer will discuss their musical history with our Director and sing a few vocal exercises to display your range and musical interpretation. At that time, it will be determined if you are musically ready for the opportunity to join GCC.
Rehearsals

Rehearsals occur on Monday evenings, from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Fellowship Hall at Mifflin Presbyterian Church. There are approximately 10 rehearsals leading up to each performance. The calendar for Rehearsals can be found here.
Dues
Dues
Dues help defray the cost of sheet music, accompanying musicians, and other GCC operating expenses. High school and college students pay no dues. For all others, dues are $40 per session, (meaning Fall, Winter, or Spring), with families paying a maximum of $70 per session. Payments may be made by cash, personal check, or Venmo. Members who are unable to pay their dues should speak with the Artistic Director for a possible scholarship.
Dues should be paid no later than the third week of rehearsal. You will receive music for rehearsals, but you will not be permitted to take that music home until dues are paid.
In general, our rehearsal schedule is 10 weeks of rehearsal followed by a concert. Dues are refundable in total up until week five of rehearsals. After week five, there will be no refunds.
