The Gahanna Community Chorus, or GCC, is a SATB large ensemble open to singers from High School to adult. Our current roster spans 8 decades of singers with multiple family units as well as new and old friends. Singers participate in a voice placement process with the director before joining. You can find out more about that on the Sing with Us page.
The GCC typically rehearses on Monday evenings from 7pm-9pm in the Fellowship Hall at Mifflin Presbyterian Church in Gahanna. Directions can be found here. We are financially supported through the Grace Hall Memorial Fund, which is facilitated through MPC.
The 2024-2025 Season consists of three major concert opportunities. The Fall Session will start on the first Monday after Labor Day, and focused on preparing holiday music for the 3 "Celebration in Song" performances. Concert dates include November 24th, December 1st, and December 7th. Volunteers will also carol at a variety of nursing homes inthe month of December. The Winter Session, "Gloria", focusing on classical choral literature, will begin in early January 2025. The Spring Session, "Joy!", will begin mid March 2025. More details about the Winter and Spring concert details will be published soon.
